It’s notorious that the only good things about the Microsoft presentation on the E3 were the Project Natal Kinect addon and the NEW XBOX 360.

The features on the Kinect were widely covered, so let’s take a little look on the XBOX360;

At first sight it’s a playstation3-slim-ation of ye olde whitey; Wifi N, 250GB HDD, and Whisper Silent (finally, I was sick of the noise!) which is nice, and needed for the time being.

From the press animation available on the XBOX Site there are a few frames in which you can see the back of the console; so I did this:

It’s pretty cool actually, because at first sight you can see 4 USB Ports, instead of 1 (on the backside only), optical audio output, and a what seems to be a redesigned Power input, possibly to a redesigned (smaller) Power Brick.

Now, that’s a lot of USB Ports, considering this new XBOX360 Slim still carries that little cap on the front in where reside the wonders of two usb ports HERE:

So, what would all these USB ports be for: one for Kinetic, one for a USB Storage Device (which it’s proven to be a lot faster than attachable HDD)

It seems that they’re doing it right this time they, remember with Rock Band, you need a USB HUB? Well, not anymore. Remember when you wanted to play movies from your external HDD on your XBOX, you needed to plug it indecorously on the USB ports on the front? (if you had a VERY EXPENSIVE Wifi Adapter) Well, not anymore.

Good for you, Microsoft.

Según leí, Ken-ya, ícono y leyenda del Techno y el techpara en Japón durante los años 90’ realiza este Kenya Matsuri periódicamente, pero esta vez decidió producir un DVD de techpara, para promocionar el género. Esta producción desde su concepción tiene algunas particularidades que valen destacar; dentro de los Clubs Oficiales de promoción del disco, incluyeron dos “clubs” que no son de Japón: Disco NRG, basados en Norte América y Diamond7, basado en Brasil. Esto, aparentemente para ampliar el horizonte del género.

Por lo que entiendo, Kenya no quiere hacer promoción del techpara o del techno por un fin comercial, ni mucho menos. Todo esto es por la pasión y el gusto al tema, en otras palabras, todo esto es por amor al arte. Increible, no?

Ahora viendo el DVD mismo, me encuentro con muchas cosas que me llaman la atención; en muchas maneras este video es muy parecido al King of Techno, en estética, en estilo de baile, y claramente  las personas que participan son más o menos las mismas. Las canciones son mayormente clásicos bien reconocibles. Las versiones de las coreos que bailan son más fieles a las originales que las que hemos visto con  el paso del tiempo “adaptadas” a la modernidad y a su vez se ven varias versiones de la misma coreo en la misma toma, debido a lo que yo creo, que estas coreos están como las bailan en las discos en Japón; con ese estilo que a ratos es dificil diferenciar entre escuela antigua, estilo propio, y a ratos nueva escuela y no todos tienen ese mismo mix.

Me llama mucho la atención y me dan más ganas de ir algún día a Japón a bailar techno azí nomás, con gusto y con ganas.

Tal vez podamos en Chilito lindo hacernos parte de la movida así tal cual.

Gracias a quienes lograron que esto fuera posible, y ojala que siga viniendo. Nos hace bien ver “material de buena voluntad”

Acabo de ver el review de la Primera fiesta euro que hicieron los Brasuca de la serie de   Diamond7. y me dio vergüenza.

Vergüenza de que después de haber sido el pais fuera de Japón con más parapara, hayamos pasado a ser vistos como el segmento del mundillo japo más dramático y miserable, con un par de pelagatos que trata de lucirse para hacer de ver al resto como miserables, en vez de realmente hacer cosas para que haya más parapara, sea entretenido y buena onda.

Es cierto que han pasado episodios super chatos, malos ratos, peleas y todo el drama, yo mismo he estado metido en varios ;( y he sabido de todos muchos otros dramas y peleas absurdos, tontos y algunos cuantos menos absurdos.

Pero siento que aun así nos dejamos llevar por la “naturaleza del shilenito” chaquetera y ratona, en vez de hacer un lado todas esas toneras para, al menos en público, disfrutar del para y hacer weas lindas.

En la comunidad mundial pasamos de ser el “pais más pujante” a ser el hazmereir de todo el mundillo paraparero.

No sé, son muchas las ideas que se me vienen con respecto a esto, lo único que se me ocurre es que todos deberían  dejar de verse el ombligo y mirar al resto pa bajo.

Tengo este proyecto entre manos; se trata de crear una suerte de portal, con varios blogs (comparable a lo que es latercera.com) dedicado a varios contenidos relacionados a la  cultura pop asiática, englobaría todo lo que ha llegado a occidente y nos ha llamado la atención; videjuegos, anime, moda, música, tendencias sociales, cultura general, historia asiática, temas de juventud, y otros, como convenciones, cosplay, cosas ñoñas, y no tan ñoñas, siempre enfocado a las Asias y a la influencia que ha tenido acá en Occidente ( particularmente Chile, pero si esto prende podría ser mucho, mucho más)

Me gusta super harto la idea, sinceramente creo que tiene harto potencial, que falta un magazine así en estos lares, un lugar de referencia para el que gusta de estos temas, un portal. Quiero llegar a que esta página sea el sitio de inicio de todos quienes gustamos de esto, que la gente que participe se comprometa en hacer algo profesional de esto, hacerlo cundir y crecer.

Quería mantenerlo entre pocos, para hacer madurar la idea y todo, pero creo que necesito un poco más de feedback al respecto,

¿qué temas debería tratar? ¿qué forma debería tener? ¿es viable en realidad esto?

Okay the thing goes like this, and I’m sure more than one of you have experienced something similar.

Behind the screen is very easy to be rude, a bad guy, sassy, cocky, etc, you know, behave like you have a lot of guts, (or you’re a total asshole).

I’ve been online for over 10 years, so 10 years ago I was barely a teenager and then I thought that such attitude was coherent to my age group; people I interacted with was 13-14 years, even I acted like that sometime, but it’s normal, not OK, but normal.

The odd thing is that now, 10 years later, I still find myself involved in situations such as I would have 10 years ago, but now I deal with people my age, from 20 years old on. So I sadly realized it’s not a matter of age, or maturity, but I dunno what that is.

There must be something about the “anonymity” that the web carries, I put anonymity between quotemarks because I know the people I’m dealing with, cause  they’re not anonymous (sup /b/). I’m not talking about acting baddass on 4chan, that doesn’t count here, hehe.

Well, that’s all I thought about  (yeah, I know.. should have finished it with something bigger, but It’s just a thought)
